10 Fastest 0-100kmph Petrol Cars under 15 Lakhs in India



1. Skoda Rapid TSI – 9.77 seconds

This is already a Value for Money sedan. Rapid, especially the Rider variant, is the best in the segment when it comes to offering features at an unbelievable price. And now, with 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine making 110hp of power and a peak torque of 175Nm, Skoda Rapid tops the list of fastest cars in India under 15 lakhs. And for the price, Skoda Rapid TSI starts at a price of ₹7,79,000.

2. Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Turbo – 9.82 seconds

A hatch that beholds a peppy engine under the hood! Its compact size paired with 1.0-litre Turbo GDi engine makes it a mean package on road. This engine is capable of producing 98hp of power and a peak torque of 172Nm. As for the price, you will have to spend ₹7,81,450.

3. Volkswagen Polo – 9.97 seconds

A car that actually introduced Indians with the concept of hot hatchbacks. Polo currently comes with with a 1.0-litre TSI engine with an output of 110hp of power and a peak torque of 175Nm. Highline Plus variant with this engine comes at a price of ₹8,34,200.

4. 2020 Honda City -- 10.20 seconds 

i-VTEC kicked in yo! And made the Honda City be 4th on this list. Actually, it is the only car on the list with a naturally aspirated petrol engine. The 1.5-litre NA i-VTEC is capable of producing 118hp of power and a peak torque of 145Nm. The premium sedan with a powerful engine under the hood will cost ₹10,99,967.

5. Hyundai Aura – 10.27 seconds

The extra boot surely makes Aura a bit slower than its hatchback counterpart. But not much! The same 1.0-litre GDi does the job at this compact sedan. As for the price, ₹8,66,300 is what you will have to spend.

6. Volkswagen Vento – 10.42 seconds

Another VW on this list! Germans know how to make a fast car. As for the engine, Vento has a 1.0-litre TSI engine which churns out 110hp of power and a peak torque of 175Nm. With an impressive 17.69kmpl mileage and acceleration enough for a sedan, Vento comes at a cost of ₹11.49 lakhs. 

7. Renault Duster – 10.5 seconds

Duster was long due for an update which came in 2020. And with the update came an all-new 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine. This mill is able to produce a power of 154hp and a peak torque of 254Nm. A 0 to 100 sprint takes just 10.5 seconds. And when it comes to price, Duster comes at an unbelievable price of ₹10,89,000. It is one of the most VFM SUVs that you may across in the market.

8. Nissan Magnite -- 11.19 seconds.

Recently launched compact SUV from Nissan that has taken the segment by storm. Be it safety, features or the price, Magnite has it all. The charismatic SUV has 1.0-litre turbo petrol under the hood producing 98hp of power and a peak torque of 160Nm. What’s more interesting is the price, ₹6,99,000 for the turbocharged variant.

9. Nissan Kicks – 11.85 seconds

Duster’s cousin makes it to top 10. Nissan Kicks has the same engine under the hood but is a tad slower when it comes to acceleration. The turbo variant of Kicks starts at a price of ₹12,09,000.

10. Tata Altroz iTurbo – 11.9 seconds



And last but not least is Altroz iTurbo. The much-awaited upgrade came in last month and India’s safest hatchback is now powerful too. With the 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine producing 108hp of power and a peak torque of 140Nm. Though the figures are not the best in the segment, Altroz surely is a fast hatch, the reason behind Hyundai i20 not making a mark on this list!
