Toyota Hyryder: price, variants and features explained

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder gets optional AWD on mild-hybrid petrol MT; strong-hybrid petrol gets eCVT automatic gearbox only.

Toyota has launched select variants of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder in India at a starting price of Rs 15.11 lakh going up to Rs 18.99 lakh. For now, Toyota has only announced the prices of top four variants – all the strong hybrid variants and the mild hybrid V AT variant. Prices of the lower mild hybrid variants and the AWD will be announced in a phased manner, the brand says.

Toyota offers the Urban Cruiser Hyryder in four trim levels – E, S, G and V. Of the two engine options on offer, the 1.5-litre petrol mild hybrid will be standard across the range. The strong hybrid tech, on the other hand, will be offered on the S, G and V trims.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder: bookings and rivals

Bookings for the Hyryder are open for a token amount of Rs 25,000 both at Toyota dealerships and online. It takes on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq, as well as the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
