India will become World’s largest Automobile Market by 2028 says Nitin Gadkari!.

Nitin Gadkari highlighted that India recently surpassed Japan to become the third-largest automobile market in the world, following Japan, the US, and China.



Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, expressed confidence that India would become the world’s largest automobile market within the next five years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking at an event in Vapi, Gujarat, Gadkari stated that India’s automobile industry is currently valued at Rs 7.5 lakh crore and has already generated 4.5 crore jobs, making it a significant contributor to the country’s economy through the payment of Goods and Services Tax (GST)!.


He expressed optimism that with Prime Minister Modi’s guidance, India would secure the top spot within five years, with the industry’s value reaching Rs 15 lakh crore. Furthermore, Gadkari emphasized India’s potential to become the world’s leading economy in the future, citing the availability of qualified manpower and abundant raw materials in the country. He stressed the importance of adopting futuristic technologies and leveraging India’s engineering workforce and resources to achieve this goal.

Gadkari also discussed the need for India to reduce its reliance on fossil fuel imports, which currently amount to Rs 16 lakh crore annually. He advocated for the use of green hydrogen and ammonia as the fuels of the future, aiming to transform India into an energy-exporting nation.

In addition, Gadkari mentioned his review of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway project, which passes through Gujarat. He addressed certain issues that needed resolution and stated that once completed, the expressway would enable people to travel from Delhi to Nariman Point in Mumbai in just 12 hours, significantly reducing travel time between the two cities
